Photo of a polio patient. A young woman is lying in a hospital bed with a hose coming from an air compressor to a chest respirator. On the floor, next to the air compressor, is a larger chest respirator. Above her is a handle, used to pull herself up, in her bed. Behind her is a murse with a tray that has an unidentified object on the tray. The nurse is wearing a dress and a hat. She has a pin on the upper left part of her dress. A framed picture on the left wall is of a woman playing the piano. On the back wall is a large window over which a window shade has been pulled down. Drapes can be seen on their side of the window. Below the window is a heat radiator. A light can be see hanging from the ceiling. In front of the right windows is an unidentified piece of hospital equipment that was used with polio patients. The windows on the right side have window shades and drapes on both sides of the windows. Exact location unknown. Unidentified.
