American Legion Baseball Park

An aerial view of the American Legion Baseball Park in Dickinson, ND. This view is from the southwest looking northeast. At the bottom of the photo is the Heart River. North of the river are open fields. North of the open fields is the ball park. The grand stands are located on the northwest side of the park. A wooden fence surrounds the park. No players are seen on the field or fans in the stands. To the west, north, and east, of park are homes. To the north of the park is a 3 story building, St. Joseph's Catholic school. North of the school is St. Joseph's Catholic Church., which is located at 240 E Broadway. North of the church are railway cars and railroad track. In-between the railroad tracks are 2 large water tanks used for steam powered locomotives. North of the church, and north of the railroad tracks, is the railroad depot. The street is front of the railroad depot is Villard Street. On the right side of the photo are 3 gain elevators. On the far left side of the photo, behind which are fields, is St. Joseph's Hospital. Beyond the edge of town, to the north and east, are farms. Exact date unknown.
