An aerial view of the American Legion Baseball Park in Dickinson, ND. This view is from the southeast looking northwest. At the bottom of the photo is the Hear River. South and east of the park are open fields. North and west of the open fields is the ball park. The grand stands are located on the northwest side of the park. A wooden fence surrounds the park. No players are seen on the field or fans in the stands. To the west, north, and east, of park are homes. Behind the baseball park's grandstand, is a large 2 story building. It is called St. Benedict's Home for the Aged, which was located at 130 1st Av SE. On the north side of the park is a 3 story building, St. Joseph's Catholic school. To the north of the school is St. Joseph's Catholic Church, which is located at 240 E Broadway. North of the church, and across the photo, are railway cars and railroad tracks. Also north of the church, and across the railroad tracks, is the railroad depot. The street in front of the depot is called Villard Street. North of the railroad tracks and homes, on the left side of the photo, is May Hall, the main building for Dickinson State Teachers College. On the north edge of town, surrounded by trees, is a water tank, for the city of Dickinson. This area is called Rocky Butte Park. Beyond the edge of town, to the north and west, are farms and ranches. Exact date unknown.
