Redeemer Lutheran
Redeemer Lutheran Church began in 1928. In 1930 the Rev. H. Weseloh was called to pastor this group, which was officially organized in May of 1931 , calling itself Redeemer Lutheran Church. Its first building was a renovated house on Eighth Avenue West. The Church was then located at 3rd St and Sims, 303 Sims, in Dickinson, N.D. The building was a 1 story wood structure, with a basement, built in 1949. In 1928, pastors began conducting worship services in the homes of people who were of Missouri Synod Lutheran background. These Lutherans were basically of Germanic background. This group was officially organized in May of 1931, calling itself Redeemer Lutheran Church. A new building was later constructed in 1963 at 711 10th Avenue West in Dickinson.
Pastors who have served Redeemer since 1930 are: the Rev. Henry Weseloh, the Rev. Marcus Wolfgram, the Rev. Martin Werefelman, the Rev. C. E. Huber, the Rev. Kyle Kiefer, the Rev. M. Mueller, the Rev. Eric Heintzen and the Rev. Marvin Otto. Redeemer's pastor in 1982 was the Rev. Garland Wittmayer who served the congregation since 1970.
