Whitney Pool

In May, 1930, swimming got a major boost when donations made a pool possible. Funds for the pool were donated by Frank Whitney and land for the facility was donated by R.H. Johnson, H.P. Johnson, T.A. Tollefson and Grover Tollefson of the First National Bank. Whitney pool was improved and a new south side pool was constructed after a bond issue was approved by voters in 1958.
