Elmore Wecker, a registered pharmacist, operated his drugstore at Chernasek's old location on Broadway from 1924 until 1934, when he moved it to 40 First Avenue West, now the Park Square Mall.
The old frame building at that location was torn down for the new Penney's store and in 1948 Wecker Drug relocated. John Schuld took over an interest in the business in 1953, when it was incorporated, and in 1958, he bought out Mrs. Wecker's interest. The store closed in 1973.
