Description

Kodak negative of the inside of the Stockman bar, which was located on 44 West Villard, in Dickinson, N.D. On the left side of the photo are booths, with hooks on the ends, for hats and coats. Beyond the last booth is a restroom for women with the word Ladies on the door. In the back, on the left wall, is a jukebox, for playing records. Beyond this jukebox is a pin-ball game machine. Beyond the pin-ball game machine, is a Bowling Alley game, with a sign that reads TWO light flashes. Above this machine is an ad for Schenley liquor. The words on the ad cannot be read. On the back wall are windows, a door, and posters. The 2 posters, read Just Tell the man you want IMPERIAL. A sign on the right corner of the back wall reads Recreation Room, Pool Tables, Down Stairs. Also in the back right corner is a glass display case with cigar boxes. Names on the cigar boxes read White Owl, and Y-B (Yocum Brothers). Also in the display case are small liquor bottles and shot glasses. At the end of the bar counter is a pay telephone. On the bar counter are glass ashtrays. Attached to bar counter, and in-between 2 bar stools, is a device that allows room for the waitress to pick up drinks and glasses, and return empty bottles and glasses. In front of this device is a serving tray, with words that cannot be clearly read. To the right of the serving tray is a glass jar, with hand written words that read, Father Cassedy Home on the Range. It is a donation jar. Also on bar counter top are salt shakers, and straws. In front of the bar are bar stools. Behind the bar, on the left end, is a glass display case, with a sign above it that reads We carry a complete stock of fine WINES and LIQUORS for that special occasion. On top of this display case are porcelain figurines of a bartender and a horse. To the right of this display case are 4 shelves filled with different liquors. In front of the bottom shelf are cases of Schlitz, Past Blue Ribbon, Budweiser, and 2 other beers. To the right of those shelves is a cash register. 2 signs above the cash register read Budweiser and Cigarettes. Other words on the cigarette sign cannot be read. To the right of the cash register ae opened liquor bottles and glasses. An awning above these bottles reads You Deserve Schenley and Stockman Bar. To the right of these bottes are more opened liquor bottles and cigarettes. Some of the names on the opened liquor bottles read Seagram 7 and PM. Under the next awning are more opened liquor bottles and an opened cigar box with the name White Owl on it. To the right of this cigar box is a can of Past Blue Ribbon and a bottle of Budweiser. Both of these are sitting on top of glasses. Behind the beer can and beer bottle is a cigar box with a name that cannot be clearly read. Words on the awning read You deserve Schenley, and EBB - FELIX. To the right of this last display of opened liquor bottles is another cash register. Part of a sign above the register reads Cig, Packa, and 2 for. Above this sign is a picture of the Budweiser Eagle. The cash register doors on both cash registers are opened. A shelf above both awning contain different bottles of liquor. The wall paper on the right wall contains pictures of cowboys riding horses and riding a bull. There is also a clock on the wall.
