A copy of this photo was printed in Sep. 14, 1986 issue of The Dickinson Press in an article about Lawton Osborn Sr. with the caption, " Crows Heart, one of the last great Mandan chiefs was invited by A.J. "Josh" Osborn to the studio for a portrait witnessed by Lawton, who recalled that Dickinson was hosting a county fair."
