Title

Oakdale Stage

Description

A stage coach parked in front of the Osborn Studio at 17 2nd Avenue West (originally called Hannaford Street). There are two women and one man seated on the driver's box. The woman on the left is wearing a white long-sleeved blouse with a dark neck tie and dark skirt. She has a dark-colored bow in her hair, which is pulled back. The woman on the right is wearing a white dress and an elaborate white bonnet, which is tied beneath her chin with sheer material. The man in the center on the driver's box is wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, a vest, neck tie, dark pants and a bowler hat. Another man is seated on top of the stage coach, near the rear. He is wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt with a kerchief around his neck, bib overalls, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat. The curtains on the stage coach are drawn up, and a man is barely visible inside. There are four horses hitched to the stage coach. Behind the stage coach is the Osborn's Photo Studio before it was remodeled in 1905. To the right of the studio is the Dickinson City Hall and Fire Station, a two-story brick building with ornate cornices and 1900 in the peak at the top of the building. To the left of the studio is a house with wood siding and a porch with filigree. A windmill is visible behind the studio. Exact date unknown. Not identified.
