Most of the men are wearing shirts, ties, hats, and suits. 3 men in the booth have microphones in their hands. The last man in front has a cigar in is let hand. A sign on the left wall reads Attention all buyers be sure to get your brand releases from yard brand inspector. A sign in front of the auctioneer stand read Ku... Trucking, Dickinson, Richardton, Dial 4611. The rest of the words cannot be read. A sign at the back of the auctioneer stand reads Honest Weight. Another sign on the left wall reads Auction Sale, the next word cannot be read, then real estate sales, rentals, and management. Exact date unknown. Identified.

Two envelopes. The larger, glassine envelope gives a title (Western Livestock Auction). The CA neg. envelope gives a title (Western Auction), another title (Business Makover), a negative number (6), and two more number (300 and 304). No date.

A copy of this photo appeared in the April 1, 1952 issue of the Dickinson Press attributing the photo to Osborn Studio. It also gave more information about the photo and identified the people. The photo was taken for the 1952 Polio Fund Drive polio calf sale at Western Livestock Co. Front row, left to right: Elmer Hegge, Paul Ebeltoft, Hank Brown, Harold Hanson, Edger Beyers and Fred Born. Back row, left to right: Roy Herhusky, Earl Penfield, Leo Sticka, Les Walters, Orville Burda, and Nick F. Wehner.
