Outdoor photo, probably taken in the 1930s. 1 building is located in the center of the photo, and is located on Villard St. The building to the left has a date of 1893 on the top of it, with words "St. Charles Hotel" below the date. A sign hangs out from the building with the words "St. Charles Hotel, St. Charles Cafe" on it. To the right of this sign are the words "St. Charles Hotel" at the top of the building again and another "St. Charles Hotel" sign below it. On the 1st floor, windows say "Cafe" and "Hotel St. Charles". A Bell Telephone sign is attached to one window by the entrance to the Hotel. To the right of the entrance is a awning with the words "Nicola's Groceries" and on the front window "Salon Nicola, Gen. Merchandise". To the right of this store is a cafe with the word "Lunches" above the door, and sign that say "Nehi" and "Model" and a sign in the front window that reads Chocolate Shop". Finally, a "Montana-Dakota Power Co." sign hangs from the building. Across the street, is a "Tig's Service Station", with a sign that says "Red Crown Gasoline". 2 gas pumps can be seen. To the left of the build is another building with a sign that says "Billiards" and signs in front of a window say "Malted Milk A Specialty" and "Hamburgers" also an awning says "Hamburgers" on it. In front of the building are seen cars and one van with a sign on it reads "Oscar H. Wills & co. Seeds, Trees, Flowers". Also seen are 2 lamp posts.
