Title

Dickinson, N. D. Sims St. Photo

Description

Photo taken looking North on Sims street from Villard with cars. Photo is slightly blurred. On the right side is the Leonberger brick block and then there are signs for: An unknown billiards hall (crossed cue sticks), Quick Lunch & Eat, Harris Barber & Bob Shop, Western Union, and the Rialto Theater. Also a J.C. Penney sign on the Masonic Hall.
On the left is the Walton block building, with an unreadable sign on the back end. A painted sign for (Simonis?) Billiard Hall and the word 'Club' can be partially seen painted on the Senour & Langley building. Then there are signs for Cafe and Thorpe Plumbing & Heating. A painted sign for Beringer's Meats and Coca Cola can be partially seen on the upper part of the Beringer block building. The Vranna block building can be seen on the corner.

Thorp Bros. Plumbing and Heating moved to Sims in January 1929. J.H. Simionis bought the Peter Lish Pool hall in August 1930 so guessing this was taken in 1930-1931.
