At the bottom of the photo is the Heart River. Across the river is a vacant area where the Jay-Cees Park, in the City of Dickinson, will be built. The main street on the right side of the photo is 5th Ave SE. Railroad cars can be seen on the right side of the photo. The letters NP on some railroad cars stand for Northern Pacific. The large building, behind the railray cars, with a tall smokestack, was St. Joseph's Hospital. It was located at W 7 St. The tall building, in the center of the photo, is the Ray Hotel. It was located at 22 E. Villard St. To the left of the Ray Hotel, in Young's Park, is a water tower. On the left side of the Park, is a Northwestern Bell Telephone communication tower. On the far left side, is St. Joseph's Church. It is located at 240 E. Broadway. In front of the chruch, but acrossed the railraod tracks, is The Peavey (grain elevator) Company. It was located at 7th Av W. New homes can be seen at the bottom of the photo, on 2nd St. and 5th Ave SE. Exact date unknown.
