Description
Photo of the Masonic Temple building, located at Sims and 1st street. Photo taken during the winter, snow is on the ground. The building is a 3 story brick building on the left side of the photo. There is an over-hang on the roof of the building. No businesses appear to occupy the bottom floor. Across the street is the United States Post Office, a 2 story building. On top of the glass entrance doors, to the Post Office, is a Civil Defense Sign. A flat pole is in front of the building, but it has no flag on it. A sign in front of the Post Office reads Timed Tested U. S. Marines, another sign behind it cannot be completely read. Across the street from the Post Office is the Woolworth building. Beyond the Woolworth building is a paint sign, and further down the block is a sign for S & L Stores. The large 3 story building, in the next block, was the Montgomery Ward Store building. Across the street, to the west, is Esquire Lounge. A sign on 1st street West reads Steak House. Other business signs cannot be clearly read. Cars can be seen parked on both sides of 1st street West. 4 traffic lights, at the corner of Sims and 1st street, can be seen. Street signs cannot be clearly read. Exact date unknown.
