A parade down Villard St. in Dickinson, North Dakota. 3 men marching, at the front of the parade, are wearing tan uniforms, with white scarfs, belts, gloves. and white helmet with a red stripe. 1 man marching ,is wearing his U. S. Army uniform, of a tan shirt, green tie, green suit and hat. The 2 men on the outside are carrying rifles. 2 flags are being carried by this group. The one on the left is the American flag and the flag on the right, yellow and blue, reads Dickinson, North Dakota. A banner being carried behind the flag carriers reads The 50 State Flags and Dickinson, North Dakota. Behind the banner are boys and girls who are carrying the 50 State Flags. Behind the flag carriers is a marching band. On the right side of Villard St., from left to right, are homes; red, white, and blue signs on a pole that cannot be read; a M & H Save 2 cents gas sign; a pole with 2 signs, the 1st sign is a Master Charge (credit card) sign, the 2nd sign is a BankAmericard (crdit card) sign; a building with a sign on top that reads Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and sign on the east side of the building that read Sax Motor. In front of Sax Motor is the intersection of Villard St. and 3rd Ave West. 2 signs on a pole across Villard St. read, South 22 only, and North 22, only. Across the street from Sax Motor is a Standard Filling Station. A sign below the Standard sign reads Free Car Wash with full up. A Bell Telephone sign is below the Car Wash sign. On a pole, to the right of the Standard sign, are signs with the prices of gasoline, in 1972. 33.9 cents for Regular, 35.9 cents, and 37.9 cents for Premium. The next building has a sign that reads (Coca)-Cola Bottling Company. A sign above the door reads Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. A clock, on the front side of the building, has a 7up bottle next to it. On the left side of Villard St. is a brick building, and a Conoco gas sign. Behind the brick building is a sign that reads Ok Used Cars, Sax Motor. Exact date unknown. Unidentified.
