Kuhn Truck Line was started in1934 by John V. Kuhn at Richardton, North Dakota. At that time John had a pickup and two eighteen-wheeler cattle trucks, as above. When John's son Kenneth came back from  serving in WWII, he joined his father in the trucking business. Sometime in the1950's the truck line was moved to Dickinson, ND, and John and Kenneth formed a partnership. They then purchased tanker trucks, as above, to haul crude oil to the Queen City Refinery. The Refinery closed suddenly, leaving Kuhn Truck Line with the tankers. John Valentine Kuhn died September 26, 1957, and Kenneth was left with the business. In several years Kenneth sold the trucks and worked as a Postal Clerk in the US Postal system.
