The Catholics of Dickinson early showed strong support for parochial school education. In the fall of 1904 St. Joseph's school opened with an enrollment of about 100 pupils. The teachers were Miss Annie Reilly, Mrs. Frank X. Wanner, and Mrs. Roman Dershan. The Sisters of St. Benedict came to staff the school in 1905.
St. Patrick's Parochial School Opened in September, 1929, with 140 pupils, and St. Wenceslaus School began in 1951 with 94 children enrolled in three classrooms.
Trinity High School opened in 1961 with a freshman class. A year was added each year until it became a four year high school. The enrollment is about 500 pupils.
