Foot race, corner of Villard and Sims St.
A picture of two men running a foot race on Villard Street in Dickinson. There is a crowd along the side of the street watching the racers pass by. Behind the crowd are the storefronts on Villard. A sign on front of the woodframe store reads Currie & Crowl General Merchandise. There is a wagon with supplies and horses in front of it. The brick building on the left is Dickinson Mercantile Co. Exact date unknown. Not identified.

Currie & Crowl was a business firm formed in July 1892 through March 1897, after which A.T. Crowl left to open his own store in town. Currie & Company continued on in this location until 1903 when J.W. Currie left the area.
