Written in Osborn's Index, " 144: Un-Loading $1.00 Wheat At Lyons Elevator, 1904; 2nd Ave. West & Villard"
Osborn's notes "66: Farmers Waiting their Turn to Unload their wheat at Lyons Elevator Villard & Hanover St. now 2nd Ave. West. Wheat or grain had to be hauled in Grain Sacks because the wagons were not built tight enough to keep the grain from falling thru, especially so considering the rough trail roads of the time."
