Fording the Little Missouri River
Description
Men on horses fording across the Little Missouri River north of Medora during flood stage. A team of four horses pulls a wagon carrying eight men across the river. The water is up to the top of the wagon wheels. There are three riders on horseback in the river near the wagon. In the background another wagon can be seen entering the river from the bank. Beyond this wagon are five additional wagons approaching the river bank at the ford. The river bank is wooded with large buttes in the background. Exact date unknown. Not identified.
Written in the lower right corner is, "(177) 403." Written on the back across the top is, "403 (197) / CROSSING LITTLE MISSOURI RIVER 1925 / AT FLOOD STAGE."
