Description
A photo of East Dickinson, N. D., north and east of the Railroad Depot. The Railroad Depot is in the bottom center of the photo. In the bottom of the photo are a railroad box car, snow plow, and a railroad passenger car. The words Northern Pacific are on the snow plow and boxcar. The number 22 is on the snow plow. A sign on the side of the passenger car reads Advertising Sale, Down, 5 a Week, Player Pianos. The main street is Villard. The Street going north of the Depot is Sims Street. Going left to right, on Villard St., was a Hardware store, a Drug store, a Jewelry Store, a Barber Shop, a Taylor, a Gent. S., and a Bowling Alley. From the corner of Sims and Villard, going east, was a cigar factory, a moving pictures, a bank, a barber shop, B & S Clo, a restaurant, billiards, and the St. Charles Hotel. On the front of this building are the words St. Charles Hotel. Early 20th century cars are seen on Villard St. Words on the bottom of the negative read Bird's Eye View of Dickinson, N.D. Two envelopes. The larger, glassine envelope gives a title (Villard St 1914 From Round-House-East) and "R-R-" in the upper right corner. The CA envelope gives a similar title (Villard St-1914) and a series of numbers (2-3-7-9).
