Description
Photo of a banquet meeting of the Cow Belles. The Cow Belles, is a woman's auxiliary of the North Dakota Stockmen's Association. Members are sitting in chairs, facing the camera, with some standing by a door, at the back of the Elks ballroom. Almost all of the women are wearing dresses, hats, ear rings, name tags, and have purses or bags. On the banquet tables are cups, saucers, silverware, napkins, water glasses, salt and pepper shakers, sugar, and rolls. On the far right of the photo is seen a counter top with a basket on it. Above the counter top is a wood covering. The walls have wallpaper on them. Large glass block windows can be seen. Next to the left wall are tables with chairs, ashtrays, and napkins. On the left side, of the back wall, is an open door with members waiting to enter the room. To the right of the doorway are 2 closed serving doors. In front of the serving doors is a table with bowls containing food items. On the right side are 2 doors, one leading to the kitchen and the other to a hallway. A man is standing from of the hallway door. He is wearing a shirt and slacks. On the right wall are more large glass block windows. Exact date unknown. Probably early 1950s. Unidentified.
