Exterior photo of the Union Carbide Plant in Belfield, N.D. On the left side is a building with 2 garage doors. Behind this building is seen the top of a grain elevator. In front of this building are 2 trucks. The words on the trucks read Mobilgas twice on the side and once on the front. Also on the side are the words The Sign of Friendly Service. A man standing in front of the 1s truck is wearing a shirt, jacket, jeans and a hat. The man standing in front of the 2nd truck is wearing a shirt, a plaid jacket, jeans, and a hat. To the right of the 2nd truck is seen a building with the words Berringer Oil Co.. To the right of this building is a steel building with an open sliding door. Barrels can be seen inside and under the open door. At the end of the building are 2 old gasoline filling station pumps and 3 barrels. Next is a metal shed with it doors opened. Inside are a series of pipes and valves. On the right side is a wood building with a door that has a sign that reads Office, and a sign in the front window that reads Tony Putschler, Agent. A sign above the building reads Socony Vacuum Oil Co. Inc. On the right side of the building is a window and above the window is a sign that reads Office. Also on the right side is a pump with a hose. Behind the last 3 buildings are 5 large fuel tanks with a walk-way connecting them. Telephone and electrical poles and wires can be seen. Unidentified.
