Description

Photo of a banquet meeting of the Cow Belles. The Cow Belles, is a woman's auxiliary of the North Dakota Stockmen's Association. 7 members are sitting in chairs, and all are facing the camera. One member, standing, behind the banquet table, is carrying a chair in her right hand. Almost all of the women are wearing dresses, hats (except for 2 women), ear rings, and name tags. On the banquet tables are cups, saucers, plates, silverware, water glasses, salt and pepper shakers, sugar, ashtrays, and rolls. Behind the women is a stage. On the stage is a bench seat, part of a picture of an elk, with evergreens, chairs, and a piano. To the right of the stage is a Proscenium arch, then wallpapered walls, and then a bar. On the far right of the photo glass shelves with glasses on them. Coke bottles are on the left side of the bar. Exact date unknown. Probably early 1950s. Unidentified.
