Transcription
In the summer of 1899 some Richardton people helped the Benedictine Fathers and Brothers to build a large frame building which would serve as a residence, a temporary church and a school. In early September the Dickinson Press reported: "The frame of the Catholic Seminary was blown down last week. The laborers were all at work inside and barely got out before it fell. Several of the men were scratched and bruised by falling timbers. Father Vincent received the most severe wounds, but is now around again. The building will be rebuilt." The Father Vincent mentioned later on became the first Bishop of Bismarck.
