Marilyn Kuhn Senn

This is a picture of my dad, John V. Kuhn, standing in front of one of his trucks The company he owned, with his son Kenneth V. Kuhn, was named Kuhn Truck Lines. My dad, John started the truck lines at Richardton, North Dakota in 1934, hauling cattle from local farmers to Fargo, North Dakota, to the sales ring.

Sometime in the 1950's my dad John and brother Kenneth purchased tanker trucks, as the one above, to haul crude oil to the Queen City Refinery. Shortly after, the refinery closed, leaving Kuhn Truck Lines much in debt with these expensive tankers . My dad, John Valentine Kuhn died September 26, 1957, leaving my brother Kenneth with the debt. Kenneth eventually sold the trucks and became a Postal Clerk, with the US Postal system.
