7 Northwest Bell Telephone Company operators. They are all dressed business attire. They are the operators who rushed to the office in the early morning to handle the flood of calls that resulted from the fire of the St. Charles Hotel. From left to right 1st row are : Elizabeth Schwaitzbauer, Anna Mae Carroll, 19-yera old night operator, who received the fire alarm, Clara Thielen and Theresia Essert, chief operator. Standing are Mary Lou Westmark and Chtherine Kessel.
