Description
The United Methodist Church building was built as the Warren A. Simpson Methodist Episcopal Church in about 1917. The church is located at the corner of 3rd St and 1st Ave West. The building cost $30,000. The building is made of brick and is 2 stories tall, with a basement. There is a home on the left and right side of the building. The current United Methodist Church of Dickinson dates back to 1883 when it was founded as the Methodist Society. In 1972, following national merger of the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren a few years earlier, the local congregation became known as the United Methodist Church. Date unknown.
