Description

The photo was taken during the American Legion Open house, in the American Legion building, in Dickinson, ND. The 1st Legionnaire, who is standing to the left of a microphone, is wearing a shirt, a bow tie, a suit, and a hat. The words on his hat read Past Department Commander and the number 46. He is shaking hands with a 2nd Legionnaire. The 2nd Legionnaire is wearing a shirt, a tie with dots on it, a suit, and a hat. He has a pen in the left pocket of his suit jacket and a name tag above it. On his hat is the symbol for the American Legion and the words North Dakota. On the left side of the photo is an opened folding door. This leads to another room in which a table, chairs, a curtain, and 2 hanging light fixtures, can be seen. Above the entrance to that room is a Christmas wreath. To the left of the 2 Legionnaire is a small table, another microphone, and a railing. Behind the 2nd Legionnaire is seen part of a drum, a piano, a railing, a suit case, a travel bag, and a Christmas tree with an ornament on it. Unidentified.
