The photo was taken during the American Legion Open house, in the American Legion building, in Dickinson, ND. A woman is standing in front of a microphone, and is wearing a dress with a corsage, a coat, a hat with feathers on it, a name tag with the word Welcome on it, and a purse in her left hand. He is also holding a glasses in her left hand. She is shaking hands with a Legionnaire. The 2nd Legionnaire is wearing a shirt, a tie with dots on it, a suit, and a hat. He has a pen in the left pocket of his suit jacket and a name tag above it. On his hat is the symbol for the American Legion and the words North Dakota. Behind the woman is an opened folding door. This leads to another room in which a curtain and a wall light fixture and a hanging light fixture can be seen. Above the entrance to that room is a Christmas wreath. On the far left side of the photo part of a man can be seen from behind. He is wearing a suit. Behind the 2nd Legionnaire is another microphone, a music stand with sheet music on it, a saxophone, and part of a Christmas tree with an ornament on it. Unidentified.
