Description
St. Joseph Church parishioners parade down Villard Street for the cornerstone laying ceremony, 1902. Seen from right to left is the Villard House. A banner on the Villard House says, "THE NEW / COMEDY / DRAMA / PENNSYLVANIA." Next is a one story wooden building. Then the I.C. DeGraff brick building built in 1893. Then the Frank Lish brick building built 1900. Next are three one story wooden buildings, the first has the word Restaurant on it. Across the street to the next block is the First National Bank, Masonic Hall, St Paul Hotel
Written on the lower left is, "169."
Written on the back is, "169 ALBUM (186) / 126 SCRIPT & 186 SCRIPT / NEG #14 / Also written on the back is, "celebration day and / a parade goes down / Villard Street." and "ST JOSEPH CHURCH -14- / PARISHIONERS PARADE 1902 / ON VILLARD DEDICATION OF / ST. JOSEPH CHURCH BUILDING." There is a small, circular, white sticker on the lower right. Written on the sticker is, "14."
