A copy of this photo appeared with others taken by Osborn Studio of the damage done by a tornado the previous week in the June 28, 1924 edition of the Dickinson Press. A caption included for this photo reads, " One of the most spectacular stunts of the storm was when large sheets of tin roofing were blown against electric wires. Enormous flames shooting high in the air and across the street quickly melted wires but failed to do damage to the L.E. Osborn residence which was located within a few feet of the flames."
