Stark County Courthouse
Original Stark County Courthouse
The Stark County Courthouse was built in 1886. Attached to the courthouse was the sheriff’s residence and the jail annex, a very typical design. It would be razed for the present day 1937 courthouse.

The Stark County Court House and World War Memorial was dedicated on June 16, 1937. Governor William Langer provided the dedicatory address at the patriotic program, which attracted hundreds of area persons.
The building cost $120,000 and was completed through aid of a public works administration grant. It replaced Stark County's first courthouse, built 50 years prior.
